My guppies

At the last minute (last night around 10pm!) I signed Robbie and Ellie up for 2 weeks of swim lessons. This morning was day 1, and they were so excited. They did great - listened to their teachers, followed instructions, had a blast. I sat on the side of the pool with Maddie and remembered back to my own childhood, those relentless cold mornings here at the same pool, just 20 years ago. 100 bobs. Learning to dive. Treading water for an eternity. The security I felt seeing my mom always in a pool chair nearby, watching over me. I am so overcome with thankfulness in these moments, for my kids and our life together and the way things have come full circle.
