"Woo Hoo! It's A Party!" ~ Ellie

March 15, 2008 - Robert Jack was born 4 years ago!
Birth: 7lbs 9oz, 22 inches long
4 years: 39 lbs, I forgot to write down his height and I can't find our measuring tape anywhere in the house to spot check him right now! But the top of his head is right at my chest so I would guess he's just under 4 ft?

All his other birth photos are on an external hard drive and we are in the middle of a major photo-back-up project so I'm not going to try and retrieve them. But this picture (below) was taken the day we went home - St. Patrick's Day! I laugh when I see this picture because I had no idea it was St. Patrick's Day. I was focusing on giving birth and meeting our first baby and recovering, but Rob doesn't miss a thing and showed up that morning at the hospital with a green shirt on. I told him I was glad to have a picture of him in that green shirt to remind me years later .

March 29, 2011 - Madeline Jane was born one year ago!
Birth: 6lbs 9oz, 20 in long
1 year: 19lbs 1oz (36th percentile), 31 in long (94th percentile)

On Saturday March 24th we celebrated our big 4 year old and our (little!) big 1 year old.
No theme this year, just lots of balloons, 2 cakes, family and a few close friends. Baked ham sandwiches, potato salad, fruit and chips for lunch, and vanilla and chocolate cake for dessert. A lot of laughter and even more gratefulness for God's goodness to us in the form of our sweet kids.

I am so thankful for Robbie and Maddie - it is such a privilege to celebrate each birthday with our kids. Related: Ellie is very confused about why we left her out of the celebration! She has since learned that her birthday is on June 23rd, and instead of being mad at us for leaving her out of the birthday party as one of the children celebrated, she just asks every day if it's June 23rd yet. :)

Yay, birthday posts! Oh, how I wish we could have been there to celebrate your sweet first born (who is looking so very old these days), and precious third (what a party outfit!).

We love you, Robbie and Maddie.
